How I Met Your Mother airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on CBS
Our favorite Canadian pop star is back!
Late last night, CBS announced the return of Robin’s (Cobie Smulders) alter ego, Robin Sparkles, on the February 4th episode of How I Met Your Mother, “P.S. I Love You.”
But that’s not all…
Not only do we get to relieve the memories of rockin’ tunes about malls and sandcastles, but we also get to look forward to a celeb-filled episode. Alan Thicke and James Van Der Beek will return with fellow Canadians Jason Priesetley, Paul Shaffer, Alex Trebek, K.D. Lang, Steven Page, Geddy Lee, and Luc Robataille.
Though she is not Canadian, Abby Elliott, daughter of Chris Elliott who plays Mickey on the show and SNL alum, will guest star as Ted’s (Josh Radnor) new girlfriend.
While no information has been provided about how each guest star’s role will pan out, I think it is safe to say that something wonderfully hilarious will ensue.
The Robin Sparkles idea sparked comedic gold from the writers. How else could you make a phobia of malls funny? How else could you get James Van Der Beek to put on a fat suit and play a loser? How else could you get Alan Thicke to make beaver jokes?
Anticipation for this return is at an all time high because a new song will be released! No word yet on what the song will be about, but I just dream of all the Canadians joining together and singing-along with Robin.
Do you love Robin Sparkles? Do you want to go to a mall? Let me know @buzzlightmeryl
